Sorting the NFL Week 3 Pile - Steelers and Colts look like teams that could panic early

Three weeks into the NFL season, we're starting to get a little understanding of various teams. There is no information about some teams like the Saints and Pats are still absolute enigmas and some teams -- Jacksonville and the other New York teams -- are simply awful.

But for other teams who considered themselves contenders or fringe playoff hopefuls, life is going to be a whirlwind. There's no time for you to sit and enjoy the view when you're panicking. However, anyone suffering from one or more of these issues should grab a brown bag and start breathing heavily.

There are groups that need to be thinking about panicking, however. Let's review a few examples and rank them with a 1-10 scale for terror.

Do we need to be concerned that the Chiefs are last in the AFC West?

Then, Andy Reid, the Chiefs coach, was admitted to hospital by ambulance after the game because he wasn't feeling well. Although he has been released from the hospital after the game, Peter King's account of the incident on NBC Sports suggests it sounds a bit more complicated than we thought on the basis of the Chiefs comments afterwards. Reid's health comes before anything else obviously. But given the possibility that he'll delay his return for a period of time, given the Chiefs are currently last by themselves in the AFC West and given the Chiefs are below .500 for the first time since Week 10 in 2015, it's worthwhile to ask how big of an issue it could become going forward.

Kansas City is not good defensively as of now. Although the Chiefs allowed just 352 yards total to the Chargers Sunday, L.A. dropped 30 on them and Justin Herbert and Co. couldn't stop Justin Herbert on the last drive.

K.C. K.C. Over the next six weeks, there will be plenty of attention from the Titans, Packers and Bills who all are playing an excellent offense. The Chiefs are fortunate enough to have three quarters to play in the NFC East in the same stretch without ever having to take on the Cowboys. If the defense cannot determine the issue Patrick Mahomes and this offense is guaranteed to give them three points over that stretch. Most likely, they'll get 5-1, and we're not sweating this division in several months. But there are a few flaws on this team and the remaining teams are playing well.
